Iraqi parliament passes tough anti-Israel law Under the new law, Iraqi citizens or organizations will no longer be able to travel to or have any contact with Israel. The law also prohibits contact with any Israelis on social media. Violators will be sentenced to life imprisonment or the death penalty.
Al Jazeera reports that the law was passed with 265 votes out of 329 in the Iraqi parliament on Thursday. The newly passed law states that no Iraqi citizen or organization inside or outside the country can communicate with Israel. Anyone who travels or has relations with Israel in violation of the law will be sentenced to life imprisonment and the death penalty.
