There is good news again in manpower export. The cabinet approved the proposal to support the visa waiver agreement between Bangladesh and Oman. This will allow diplomats, officials, special and service passport holders to enter Oman without a visa. Apart from this, workers from Bangladesh will no longer need a visa to go to Oman.

The approval was given at a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office on Monday (May 30th). In a briefing at the Secretariat in the afternoon after the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said, “The Oman authorities signed the agreement with an urgent approval from the Prime Minister. But since the international agreement has to come to the cabinet, the cabinet has approved it today. ”

The cabinet secretary added, “Diplomats, officials, special and service passport holders, those of us who go to work there, will no longer need visas. However, ordinary people will need a visa to travel. Those workers don’t need them. However, no detailed information has been received yet as to which way the workers will go to Oman from Bangladesh.
